Part of thing with Portal 1 is that they had a very limited budget - it was just kind of an experiment for Valve. In fact, they mostly used assets from the Half life series to make Portal.

Portal 2 is a full fledged developed game. Looks like they have made the puzzles fairly difficult, and amped up the interactivity.

So to answer your question, yes, there needs to be another Portal!!!

Yes definitely! You can go back to playing Call of Duty 5345 while I play Portal 2, only the second game in a new type of genre.
