Playing D3 on a wide screen.

I'm sure most people here have figured out how to play Descent 3 on a wide screen monitor- but I haven't. 
D3 plays on my computer, but the display is \"stretched\" and squashed so that the game is distorted. Is there a way to get the correct aspect ratio?
