Nikki Diaz, if you don't already know was hired by and worked for Meg Whitman for about eight years and was paid about $23.00/hr. All well and good until Whitman gets a letter from social security that the ss number Diaz is using may be false. After finding out that Diaz is in fact using a stolen ss number, Whitman fires her. Throw in the fact that Whitman used a employment agency to find Diaz, Diaz had a valid State of California drivers license and signed a govt. form stating under penalty of perjury, that she in fact was a legal resident. Putting the politics aside here is how I see it.
Diaz is playing to the cameras with a tearful expression and claiming how she was wrong fully treated (really miss Diaz, $23.00 per hr is bad treatment?). Miss Diaz is also stating how she is doing this to help other Latino's and shed light on their problem. Further she wants to sue for back wages as she was \"wrongfully\" discharged. So miss Diaz, how does this help either the illegal or legal Latino residents in this country? Based on the falsified documents you presented, why should any employer now want to trust anyone who looks like they came from south of the boarder? If I was going to hire someone and pay them $23.00/hr, I will make sure they are Caucasian just so I don't run the risk of running into someone like you miss Diaz. All the documentation in the world will not now convince me a Latino is here legally. Thanks to Miss Diaz, many people in this country will now not consider hiring Latino's. If, to those who are Latino's, it sounds like I am promoting racial profiling, don't blame me. Thank your self appointed mouthpiece.
