Well right now they are ghey, until they have a plug-in only sports car. edit: i guess they do have that Tesla, but I can't afford one.

I heard some green electric car wag say gas should have another $4.00 a gal tax added so more people will buy electric. Now I want to know is how that electric car will tow my 7k lb trailer? Or if the electric car will be able to carry full 4' x 8' sheets of plywood inside? So what the wag was saying was screw you guys in the construction trades as he wants to see us go broke. I wonder if these simple minded thoughts from people coming up with these ideas have a clue as to how the country really works.

Unless I found a different incident (you posted no link), I find it incredibly hard to believe that you watched the interview and formed those conclusions on your own.
But the actual source is best, and what was stated in the OP wasn't true.
I don't agree with all of AC's comparisons, (i.e., the comparison of \"Gay\" to the \"N-word\"), but he was not upset that electric cars were insulted.

As you posted, the word \"Gay\" has interesting history. AC wasn't the first to complain, GLAAD (The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) was.
So why get so upset when a person who isn't a news anchor nor has all the education of said position can see it was use in the newer fashion of the word.
I guess, the inappropriate joke, to answer your question, is that Hollywood still needs costume designers . But there is some truth in that, they are a big part of the community, they were offended, and all AC did was give it attention.

Until the United States is powered exclusively by \"clean\" energy (nuclear, wind, hydroelectric, solar), electric cars that get their power from coal power plants (for example) are really not helping the environment at all.
