If you are looking at buying a Windows 7 phone, know that Microsoft in all their wisdom decided once you put an SD card in it, it either kills the card completely or you can only use the card in that device.
http://www.engadget.com/2010/11/12/atan ... cards-yet/
It might as well not be an SD slot but a proprietary, completely new memory card type because they are asking that you wait and purchase \"a Certified for Windows Phone 7\" SD card when they become available.
I am amazed this company keeps trying to pull this crap on the consumer. Here is hoping this new OS fails miserably.

Like with other markets, Microsoft has enough capital to dump into the phone market until they finally get it right. It usually takes them until the third or fourth product generation. I think that's about Phone 7 or maybe its successor.

Just my opinion, but this sounds more like a mistake than an intentional product-tying ploy. There is no advantage to be gained from something like that with WP7's current market position.
