Uninstall Programs and cleaners

Post by thewolfe »

I'd like your opinion of ccleaner and Revo uninstaller.

Spoke with someone the other day that said they thought Revo was dangerous because it got into the registry. That's one thing I liked about it.

Also any suggestions for programs that clean and uninstall.

I understand they each have their own functions.

What do you think about using the ccleaner registry area?

Registry cleaning is unnecessary or outright dangerous and largely a scam, it is the proper working references in the registry that slow a PC down the most, invalid references are largely skipped silently or simply don't have an impact.

I use ccleaner regularly.

What about the \"Drive Wipe\" option in ccleaner?
