Monster storm from seaboard to seaboard is upon us. Post here as how it affects you. Pics optional. Right now in Michigan not much going on as storm won't impact us until tonight and tomorrow. Blizzard force winds are what will make it a pistol. Luckily I don't have anything going on that I have to leave the house.

Only getting about 10-15 cm of snow tomorrow. Nothing major. Nova Scotia is getting 50cm though.

Already here, its snowing hard and the wind is kicking it around even worse. Just got back from my last minute shopping to hold us over for the storm.

We've had that lovely high pressure area stuck right over us that's been steering the worst of the weather over to the eastern half of the country. Lucky us, unlucky everyone else. If it moves east or south, the Northwest will get hosed.

I wish we had some more snow (only got about 1\" here in Denver).

Without a good snowfall, -10°F (-32°F wind chill) just seems cruel.

We still have a foot of snow on the ground from the last uber-storm, though I think we're slated for more ice and rain than anything else with this one. It wouldn't surprise me if the schools have off again tomorrow.

Expecting a lot of snow here.

Have a old Deutz Allis 5-22 snow blower sitting the garage I wish to have fun with.

western Chicago burbs here. my usual 5-10 drive home took an hour, and that was even though they let us out early. roads deceptively slippery, pretty steady and gusty winds out of the northeast making for reduced visibility.

I turned on the tv... bottom right says \"Wind Chill Warning\".

I must say, I've never seen that before.

With the outside lights on I can see the snow blowing like smoke off the eaves.

2-3 foot drift in front of my front door; has to be at least a foot of actual snowfall as of 11 pm.

Good night, all.

It's 2°F right now, and it's supposed to get down to -6°F tomorrow night. Closures from the snow and ice make tomorrow my second day off. :) There's only a few inches of snow, and the ice on most of the roads isn't that bad, but people's inexperience with icy conditions in this part of the country lends itself to quick closures.

Work called me to tell me they are closing down shop today like I was going to go in any way. Have to call them tomorrow to see if we are working then also. So far 4 inches of ice expecting 12 inches of snow on top of it.

Last Thursday was a blizzard. Great day for it too, only -5 Celsius. I spent some time outside shoveling.

Well, depending on what portion of the yard you look at, we either got no snow, or 3 feet of snow...

Spent about an hour this morning clearing drifts on sidewalks and driveways for our neighbors who only have reasonable sized snow blowers for in the middle of the city instead of 24\" monsters like ours. We do look a little silly when it is only an inch or two of snow, but it is definitely nice to have something that cuts through drifts up to 18\" deep in one pass when you need it.

The state is running low on natural gas. Fortunately, we have space heaters...
