I would think you'd have to do a few tests with situations unique to a 6DOF Descent-like creation to be sure the engine would work well. Sure seems like a nice engine, though. Both 1 and 2 have struck me as being a little clunky. Like they pretty much covered everything as far as simulating a world (give or take), but they hadn't necessarily optimized it all.
