Please elaborate on this. الإخوان has never advocated anything but a return to an Islamic-ruled caliphate.
The Sunni's could be said to be seeking something that resembles a democracy but those rascally Shia's are all about the crazy imam ruling the caliphate
'because god said so' so how can you imply democracy isn't at risk if the Muslim Brotherhood takes over?
Iran is the biggest baddest bully on the playground right now and is basically a radical Shia state and currently is, and for decades has been, the mothership for Islamic terrorism. Iran IS Hezbollah and pretty much owns Hamas since the 90's. they fund these 'revolutions' and don't just send a check...they install their leaders into the governments and organizations that are born from them.
The expansion of wacko-fundamentalist Islam doesn't happen in the world without Iran's dirty fingerprints all over it. The brotherhood might
think they are above the wacko-Shia influence but the rank and file muslim who will be doing the work will be ultimately working for Iran unless the dynamic changes. I don't see any force anywhere stepping up to change it. Many moderate muslim leaders were banking on the U.S. keeping things under a boiling point but Obama just turns up the heat and leaves the kitchen...The U.K. is barely confident enough to talk about the problem...Germany and France have no testicles for this fight...
I think your grand children will be fighting this war for you.
