[Solved] Strange 2wire problem..

Thanks for reading, I'm all out of ideas..
I have a laptop which connects do different routers on campus all day. At home there's neighbor's open Linksys router I can also connect to with no trouble either. My router, which is visible, refuses to accept a wifi connection from my little laptop.
It gets better!
I can connect to it using the ethernet cord. So I diabled security on the router and tried to connect to it openly.
After restarting the router then my laptop, then my laptop then the router, then both at the same time, increasing the time each is off, I decided to delete the only file that could be keeping my system from connecting: /etc/hosts
(I had edited this file once then was kicked off my 2wire router)
On restart the file was reproduced and I could still connect to Linksys and the ethernet wired connection... No change
At this point, if you tell me to do an ancient Indian Wifi dance, I'll try it!
Thanks for reading.
