It's called supply and demand, while targeting the majority. It makes sense that you're unfamiliar with the concept.

Oh yes.

I'm sure you agree with me here when I say, any news source has the right to pedal junk, just like we have a right to read and watch any other new source in the world. I'm even ok with companies selling fake news, which I see all the time. Does not bother me and I doubt it bothers you. We can tell the difference and know how to do research to verify if something's true. It's part of why I enjoy reading this little forum and other like it. We're little sifting organizations from different backgrounds wielding different skills, picking apart the news.

You also are well aware that, if CNN thinks their viewers want to hear more about something, which they have many ways of doing, it's in their best interest to cover more of that subject.

True, but it doesn't mean I have to like it.

It bothers me because I tend to be of the opinion that the average person on the street is not as intelligent as your average DBBer.
