Thought I'd post this on the top level to make it easier to find. Watson's artificial intelligence researcher, Chris Welty, did a new interview about the infamous "What is Toronto" answer on Jeopardy. You can listen to the podcast at the IEEE Spectrum website. It's about 19 minutes long, but it explains the algorithms that Watson used to come up with it's "Toronto" answer. There is also an explanation of how the engineers think Watson can be used for applications in the future. Enjoy.
