Here's what I wrote in the Descent2.de forums:

read the post within the link abov... you know what, read this quote box:
I wrote:Here's what I mean about Kids these days (in a nutshell)-
New parents are really not teaching their kids ANYTHING!!!! Look, I'm not perfect, your not perfect, nobody is perfect! But dang it! Most kids these day, never show respect. For example, kids these days should NOT play M for Mature game titles (e.g. Grand Theft Auto 4) until their 17 or older  . What are your thought about most of today's kids. This is why I will NOT have kids!
(Okay... I better take it easy)

Well, if kids are our future we should slow them down to keep that from happening. Lets add 5 more grades to schools. Tell school buses to take needless detours. Increase Saturday mornings by ten hours. By doing this they will remain children longer mentally and physically, adding an extra 50 years before they become adults, giving us more time to figure out how to fix the future.

:P

Agree 100%

Also, they are all lazy. And no manners.

That's right. I believe it's impossible to overstate the severity of the problem.

Bad, but funny! 50 years ain't long enough for most of you. Anyone trying to figure out how to fix it is a casualty, not part of the problem.

What about what they forgot to teach the previous generations: planning for the future and cleaning up your own messes.

Well, I'm from the last of what's considered the Boomer Generation and you should be blaming the WWII generation of vets that, after coming home on a winning testosterone high, decided to have all that sex and make all those little bouncing babies. They thought the good times would never end. :P

Gen Y'ers aren't shaking up to be all that pure of a generation either.

Generation Me

When all the big cities are (naturally/war) destroyed the good country boys and girls will take the world back.

I never asked for anything and never expected anything, and nobody owes me anything but respect.

You do that, pardner. The 80+% of us in the US who live in cities and suburbs will be holding our collective breath in anticipation.

Where will you go when your Seven Eleven runs dry
and your 64 oz pepsi can't be found no matter how hard you try.
Your welfare check can't be cashed
and the toilets don't flush.
No longer a net to type out your foo,
no cable for your make believe
and the snow creeps in under your door.

Down in the vales they have ham and eggs to dine
and jugs of clean water and even some shine.
Neighbors are still neighbors, help is to be had
life goes on just as it always has.

When city air is smoke and the smell of burnt meat
When your ipad don't work and you're no longer leet
Where would you really most rather be

If we don't stop breeding so much, the country WILL become the city Mr. Ke-mo sah-bee! Just because it's wide open country doesn't mean it will stay that way. We've got to find places for all those new humans to live somewhere and we can only stack them so high before they spread outward......

Population growth is slowing around most of the world, especially the developed world (actually I think the US is one of the only such countries that is still growing at an appreciable rate, and that's mostly thanks to immigration). I figure the population will eventually peak. That's probably good news, actually. The more mixed news is that the number I heard projected for that back in college was something like 12 billion.
