Toshiba Satellite A305, 3GB, 32 bit, Vista Home Premium, SP2.

Can't install KB 2446708 - Security update for .Net frame....

Says it's installing, restarts but doesn't install. Continually prompts to install. It's not in "Add & Remove...."

Is this something that should be installed?

BTW, ain't my computer and the guy is not going to upgrade to Win7.

Look in the windows update log, or the individual update log file and see if it is throwing any errors.

I had this problem once…make sure he has .net installed, if he doesn’t just hide the update.

Search the C: drive for files with "2446708" in the name and see if any of them give a useful log file.
