As for Booney; yeah we know he's PO'd. He couldn't get much love from the Government for his Big Wind investment, so now he wants to see what he can squeeze out of the Feds for his Big Gas venture. Hey, If you can get some pols to write you a check for some free infrastructure .....

So are those oil investment subsidies any better for us in the long run? Oil will run out eventually mind you. Besides, the Koch brothers are such supreme power hungry slimeballs that I would rather not see my tax dollars end up in their greedy pockets. But then, if we gave Pickens his subsidy and natural gas became the trucker fuel of choice, my home heating bills would go up dramatically. Also all that frakking just to get to the gas would inevitably poison our nation's underground water aquifers. I can't say I'm enthralled with either subsidy going to either tyrant.

Hey, I just solved the energy crisis! Eat beans and collect the easy to obtain natural gas to run our cars! Might be kind of stinky though.

Yeah, that fracking (hee) process is making big waves here in PA, since natural gas interests are exploring extraction of what are apparently some huge deposits in a shale formation here. I just read an article recently that described how some really nasty concentrations of certain chemicals were turning up in wells near one of the sites. Guess it's not exactly a clean 'n' easy process.
