No, they didn't lie. Setting off the bomb probably sent the price of oil up a good bit so it helps their energy program quite a bit to have the price go up... So think of it as an energy marketing campaign

The Iranian people will benefit from being a nuclear state in the days to come. It makes a more level bargaining ground for them. What comes of it who knows, but at the moment the article seems reasonable enough. I wonder if ours and other more 'advanced' governments actually tried to bury nuclear waste there? Does anyone know if that is actually a true statement?

Kissinger would approve.
