Starting a new company - looking for some input!

Hey everyone,

I'm posting this in PTMC cafe because I am more looking for users to participate in this survey, rather than comments on the site itself (though they are welcome!).

Basically, I've started a WordPress / web hosting company called Nitrous Cloud. But it's supposed to be a lot more than that - our goal is to help people with great ideas get them on a website. This includes products for sale, ideas, etc.

I have a survey form on the website that I would really appreciate if everyone could fill out. You can also make comments here - I'm really trying to get people involved in the development, so we actually meet users needs.

Yeah, like $5 direct deposit to anyone for any idea submitted. But take out a huge loan first to cover all the payments. If at least 80% are good ideas, you makin money.

Isn't it funny how you can think about any idea for a long time, and then you put it out there, and within a couple hours someone says something and you realize you're going about it wrong?

Going to work on this and rethink how I am approaching it. Probably a little to wishy washy.

Talking seriously, I think it's not focused enough of people's self interest. As terrible as that sounds, all people involved must be participating for some self-serving reason. Some people might like solving other people's problems for entertainment. Maybe portraying the site as an ongoing puzzle solving game, which people contribute "what if" questions to, might distinguish this from other sites that focus on answering questions. People can then collaborate and work on an idea or competing ideas on a single problem (aka "topic") of their choice.
