Trying to get them to post signs in the men's locker room.

Post by Isaac »

After almost 2 years of attending my school gym I think the men's locker needs, for freshmen, signs that explain how to, and how not to, use the following:
ITEM (example)
urinal (it's not a trash can)
walls (they're not an alternative to kleenex and toilet paper)
trash cans (if you can't make it in, higher education is not for you)
sweat towels (check them back into the front desk in the dirty basket, not on the floor behind the toilets on the floor.)
smart phones (for communicating to others, not blasting your music for everyone with its loud tiny speaker)
bleeding (don't do it everywhere)
toilet seats (Just because YOU'RE too embarrassed about your shaft size to use the urinal, in the open, doesn't qualify you to not use the urinal and piss all over a toilet seat in private. )

I think student government could make these signs official and permanent fixtures all over the men's locker.

Dang - my school has a YMCA attached to it, and it's always clean and pretty quite.

Isaac, you'll see this theme repeated in other areas of your life as you continue to get older.

Welcome to adulthood.

We never had those problems. Then again teachers were allowed to use paddles.

I wouldn't put up any signs if I were you because it would just give them more ideas. :P

Most of these people when reading a sign that says: "Don't put ★■◆● in the ceiling fan." will respond with "Hey, I never thought of that! Lets do it!".

I like the pool sign that says:
Welcome to our ool. Notice there's no P in it - lets keep it that way.

Yea, the science teacher in one of my junior high classes liked to use the paddle on male miscreants that were misbehaving in class. He finally got fed up one day and actually did it to 2 of our perennial jerks (every school has them) right in front of class. Don't think it changed any behavior though. Those 2 where still jerks in high school. :P

As for messy men's bathrooms, you should visit the women's bathroom. Women sometimes don't like to sit down on a dirty toilet seat, so instead of cleaning it off, they resort to using the "Roman Chair" method of taking a leak. In other words, they don't sit down when doing number one, they kind of hold themselves in a sitting position above the seat, so the toilet seat gets a good coating of pee usually. A self-propagating problem too.

Yeah I'm not so sure the paddling's worked all that well either for the "miscreants" ;) but it did help those on the fringe to decide. Kept the miscreant levels to a minimum :P.

I was watching the history channel the other day. They had shows about Bonnie and Clyde, Babyface Nelson, so forth. I couldn't help but notice most of this anarchy happened right after the banks collapsed and at the onset of the Great Depression. Those guys probably weren't much different from any of the rest of us, protested the idea of a National Bank and the Fed, saw it get passed and the a little over a decade later, everything being ruined, therefore causing a huge shift in the balance of wealth, once again. Mostly they killed just police officers or others they saw as part of this new establishment. There was only a handful of them, hell-raisers, that lost total respect for the system.
Well, because of the way this great nation was structured, the police had very limited powers, usually resulting in a non-chase even because their cars were inferior to the criminals and they knew catching them before they left their jurisdiction was impossible, AND they respected that. This handful of miscreants changed the whole justice system in this country and knowing that now, I wish at least one of those farmers they had came across would have just snuffed them out until that handful were disposed of. You cannot avoid harsh punishment's if you wish to live in a civilized society.

Bank robbery's still a favorite pastime amongst the lawbreaker set. All siblings no less. Tsk, tsk.
