Don't you hate it when that happens?

Just submitted my midterm exam earlier today.
Was thinking about it at lunch, and realized a mistake that I had made in one of the problems.
Ugh. Now I have to sit here knowing that I messed up the exam, and it wasn't due until tonight so if i hadn't submitted it, I could have fixed my mistake.

I've had similar situations recently.
This week and last, I had a report that had to have the rubric attached. I managed spectacularly to forget to attach them both times.
The first exam on one of my classes I couldn't figure out a problem on it and somehow realized how to do it only when I was about halfway down my drive home.

Always: "I did perfect! Knew everything!" Grade comes back: "Missed three".

Yap. When you're absolutely uber-confident that you've answered every question correctly. Then the mark comes back... and somehow you've failed the entire course!

I can empathize. Yesterday, I turned in a midterm where on the final part of the final problem, I gave a "proof" for the opposite of what the problem asked. I really can't see how what they asked us to prove is true and in fact gave an argument for the opposite. We'll see how that works out.
