Curious. Why do they say it's the first animated one? I've seen at least half a dozen before.
Is cool though.

Nice. On Firefox, it looks like they're delivering this Webm video:
http://bing.com/az/hprichv/?p=LeafFrog_ ... EN-US.webm
Then they just use the opacity CSS property to provide smooth looping.

So this...
Code: Select all
<video id="vid" onended="VM.play();" loop="true" autobuffer="true" preload="auto" oncontextmenu="return false" style="opacity: 1; " width="956" height="512" src="/az/hprichv/?p=LeafFrog_GettyImages_117066506_EN-US.webm"></video>
...is html5. But when I use your link, Jeff, it's my default video player? I see the <video> tag on that page too. Edit: I think my default video/audo player IS an html5 player, in chrome.

Right, Firefox also just creates a dummy video tag for viewing the raw video.

Why do big US sites try to turn canada into can'tada?

I never figured out why they had to wait before rolling out features to other markets either. It's not like they wouldn't work in Canada.

I should visit canada and try to use the net like I normally do. I'll probably get predator droned from a base Michigan.

Well, you're used to battling robots aren't you? It should be even easier in the open air where you have more maneuverability.
And if you get eaten, well, you're contributing all the nutrients and vitamins and whatnot in your muscles and internal organs and whatnot to the "green cause".
