Cursor is disappearing

My cursor is disappearing on the web in Firefox browser, Word....When it disappears my title bar fades to about half of it's normal color.

As soon as I click in the document it shows up again. Any ideas?

This is on my desktop Dell 580 running Win7. Also a Logitech MX1100 with 50% battery life.

Going to switch mice to see if that makes a diff.

I'll post again here so I'm not all alone. Looks like it was my Logitech MX1100.

It hasn't disappeared since I changed mice. I'll put in some new batteries and "see how she do".

Thanks Doug for answering so quick. Your welcome Doug. In fact I'm wondering why you didn't try a different mouse before you bothered to bother us. Just hyper I guess.

Perhaps you have the setting marked "Hide pointer while typing" checked in the mouse control panel / pointer options tab?

Thanks Krom, but think it was low batteries.

Well, it wasn't the mouse after all. For some reason the "focus" goes away from the page I'm on. The "title" bar lightens up so the focus must be going to another program. It happens no matter what I'm looking at.

Hide mouse while typing is not checked.

Any other ideas?

A background program grabbing focus? Or perhaps, just causing the current window to lose focus?

That's what I think. Any program or way to monitor that activity?

Think I got it...Tivo Notify, Server and or Transfer progies for Tivo Desktop.

Turned the services off all was well, turned them on and cursor disappeared in about a minute.
