....read today that Sen. Snowe of Maine is not going to seek re-election. Registration trends, coupled with tea party loons in Maine controlling likely nominee, could well give the Dems another Senate seat. Coupled with sudden problems for Lugar in Indiana and a couple more, it looks like the Dem hold on the Senate will be maintained. If the backlash vs the Tea Party Congresspersons that has been trending in polls over the last 6 months continues, Obama might not only get easily re-elected, but have both Houses of Congress again. Who'd have thought that a year back?

Your making the hair on the back of my neck stand up
. How would that be different than Obama's first year in office? We get another un-thought-out travesty like Obama care shoved down our throats.? If Obama gets a second term, I've lost all hope for my antiquated idea of America and see the fruition of your vision of America. One of birthright instead of equality.

Considering that Republicans have been moving more and more to the extreme right wing since 1975, it's no surprise that moderates, especially in the Republican Party, are getting frustrated with what's going on in Congress and are dropping out. You'll also notice that Democrats haven't really moved more liberal either. Check out the forth and fifth graphs down from the top of the list. You can't blame liberals for all this recent nastiness.

well, this time around, one can hope that he has lost the illusion that the GOP wishes to work for the good of all the people. With a decent mandate, the next four years can see some true progress and re-orientation of government priorities.
