They're probably not the patient zero since all of them got sick, unless the flu bug mutated in one of the family members, which then possibly spread fatally to the rest of them. Either way, somebody picked this thing up somewhere, and it may have spread it before their symptoms became apparent. Scary.

I sincerely doubt it.
