His Majesty, Obama...

Has warned the supreme court not to overturn his healthcare "reform" law.
US President Barack Obama on Monday challenged the "unelected" Supreme Court not to take the "extraordinary" and "unprecedented" step of overturning his landmark health reform law.
Unelected...like the supreme court appointees he put on the bench?

Anyway, the whole thing may be a play for the campaign even if the law (as it exists) is struck down. He can point and say, "See? I need to replace one more justice to get you your free health care. Elect me one more time and I'll see to it."

if you wish to be taken seriously, spelling the word 'majesty' might be a good jumping-off point. Just sayin'.......

Sandra Day O'Connor
Antonin Scalia
Anthony Kennedy
David Souter
Clarence Thomas
John G. Roberts
Samuel Alito

now tell us who got appointed by who, and who is still serving.

The point I was making is that Obama was complaining about 'unelected' judges when he made his own appointments to the Supreme Court.

I have never seen any other president act in such a disrespectful manner when it comes to the Supreme Court. Obama called out the justices during a state of the union address..and now again he is 'warning' the Supreme Court against ruling the 'wrong way.'

He sounds more like Hugo Chavez trying to badger his own judicial system. What ever happened to the separation of powers and the (at least minimal) respect each should accord the other?

This doesn't exist for Obama.

Or Nancy Pelosi

The courts will be the judge of that, Mrs. Pelosi, as they should be, sit down and shut up.

If Obamacare is so constitutional, then why are they trying to put so much political pressure on the Supreme Court not to interfere?

what does it matter, really? I don't see any complaining about the justices in the article. I do see that he was talking about how conservatives were complaining about the justices, though.

I agree with TB. Obama should have kept his mouth shut until a decision was reached. It looks either petty or political, but not presidential.

nothing really shocking in what he said, and YES, it ought to be a matter that should be considered in the fall election, and YES, he will campaign on it, you betcha.

I know Obama's feeling frustration right now, but I kind of cringed when he said them the other day. This is not a good time to rub SCOTUS the wrong way, unless Obama is hoping for the failure of his signature legislation just to use as a campaign issue for 2012. But his comments would have been far less boorish if he'd said them AFTER SCOTUS had made a ruling.

This line sort of cracks me up. Obama griping about the Court's potential ruling on his healthcare package doesn't exactly compare to FDR wanting to increase the number of justices. :D

It would appear the 5th circuit does not agree with you Slick:

"a federal appeals court apparently is calling the president's bluff -- ordering the Justice Department to answer by Thursday whether the Obama Administration believes that the courts have the right to strike down a federal law, "

I see this as great ammunition for Romney, it clearly shows even after getting a law degree from Harvard Obama still doesn't know how the separation of powers work, nor does he understand what the judiciary was designed for (hint...to keep people like Obama from becoming another Hugo Chavez).

Mr President, I understand your pain. Your only accomplishment that you would be remembered for, is about to go up in flames. Your green energy dream is a failure with green company after green company going broke after you gave them billions in loans. The one thing you will have succeeded at was showing America how easy it can be to manipulate the voters into choosing a fraud.

Interesting. Judges interjecting themselves in the political debate. How unprofessional and partisan.

The precedence Obama might lose on however.
