Aerial Video

Had some fun with a friend on Wednesday. He happens to own a 500-scale helicopter, which is about a meter rotor diameter, with about a 250gram payload (without battery counting as payload)
So, we hoisted up:
1) A video transmitter. This was OK, but the screen I took along wasn't bright enough to be seen, so it was a bit of a flop. It did prove though that the video system works.
2) A video recorder. Results:

(how do you get it to embed?)

(**MOD FIXING POWER ACTIVATE**)
(Thanks)

nice work sdfgeoff. haha those rolling shutters are a ★■◆● hey.

shame about the first-person issues. A transmitting UAV (RC or not) coupled with a ground-based PC/laptop crunching the video data in realtime.... oh the things you can do. (feature based SLAM, computed realtime in the field, aww yeah)
