A friend bought a new computer Windows 7 and his wife also has a Windows 7 computer.
I had them "seeing" each others files/folders when clicking on "Network" in Windows Explorer.
When I installed the new computer it asked me for her Name & "Network" password. (Not "Home group" and not wireless). I believe that the name is normally the one in C/Users.
I don't know how to find her password and also his. And I would like to verify that the "User" name is where I think it is.
P.S. I know that my password is one I made and not one given by Windows or generic.
Finding network passwords - not for router
Re: Finding network passwords - not for router
Found this:
Control Panel
Change advanced sharing settings
Turnoff password protected sharing
but I'll have to get LogMeIn enabled or get to their house to test it.

Re: Finding network passwords - not for router
Did the above and "shared" folders with Full permission and got all but one folder working. Good enough for now.
