Bible prophecy

Considering all I've read lately concerning Russia and China, it has perked my interest in studying prophecy again. I find it interesting that the 3 biggest rogue nations today (Iran, China and Russia) is prophesied to be wroking together for world domination in the last days, according to scripture, so I found this:

That is trying to explain how a good bit of Daniels prophecies have already come to pass, and in great detail. I'm interested in all opinions, so as to give myself some guidance, but I am particularly interested in Jeff250's opinion of the linked article and any discrepancy he may find. I am interested in a lively discussion of biblical prophecy and if it can be a reliable guide for future preparations. I ask of Jeff in particular because of the way his mind works, for truth.

DISCLAIMER: I am in no way in agreement with the authors interpretation of future events. I am more interested in prophecy fulfilled.

There's a lot of content there. Is there one part in particular that you think deserves emphasis?

One problem with using Daniel to convince non-Christians of fulfilled prophecy is in demonstrating that it was actually written before many of the predicted events. The consensus of secular historians is that it was not written by Daniel but by a different author (or authors) centuries later:

Interesting. I think what I will do is re-read that book again, for consistency and then to see if I can correlate events with some external documents. See if we can find compulsory evidence for a date of that book, because a great deal prophecy and faith depends on that book being accurate. Writing styles have no bearing I would think, because anyone who could write that book had to have a capacity a little ahead of his time anyways. I will see if I can put events from the book of Daniel and what we historically know of the figures written about within.

EDIT: The key might also be finding things that only those of that time would understand, though I'm not sure that would be convincing enough. This is long after oral-tradition, so I would assume events would be written about as they happened too.

First word that popped in my mind really. So far, and this may take some time, the bible prophesizes that at the end of time, both the King of the North and the King of the east will get together to make war. Geographically, both China and Russia are located respectively. It also looks like, whether it's the end of time or not, that these 2 countries will become the main superpowers in the world. It's all about energy and resources and who controls them.

It's funny you mention India. I was thinking about them after reading a bunch of asian blogs. I also noticed that all these asians from different countries there are all writing in engrish :) Aside from that though, I've heard many talking about this:

Well, this got me thinking about the Hindu's, who right around the early 1990's, began coming here in drove and buying up all the supermarkets. Now, at least 90% or more here are indian owned and the employee's are seen throughout these stores, implying one owner of them all.
