Well, I suppose this booklet publisher got the facts wrong- I mean how much further from the truth could you get?

I mean, it WAS back in 1991 that it was published. It's not like facts meant much for a guy that wasn't going to be president or anything.

The booklet, which is thirty-six pages long, is printed in blue ink (and, on the cover, silver/grey ink), using offset lithography. It purports to celebrate the fifteenth anniversary of Acton & Dystel, which was founded in 1976.

Hey, the booklet publisher was probably wrong, mister Topgun. No need to worry.

TG no reason to roll your eyes. Back then Obama's handlers wanted you to think he was born in Kenya. The article, if you read it, merely points out what a chameleon Obama is and how his handlers (along with a naive and willing press) package him to fit the season.

Yes, because an article on Brietbart.com is something I am going to take as srs bzns political analysis.

So what sites would you take as serious political commentary?

You can talk about ANY other politician except Obama. The mention of his name inflames the indoctrinated to rally and protect our great President. Out of every scumbag, lieing piece of ★■◆● that conceals the truth or twists it to their means, only Obama can, Obama can...... That guy is no different than the rest, but his campaign was ingeniuous.

Anything not founded by a raving nutjob is a good start.

No, what he is saying is that because there were no handlers, it is more likely true that he was born in Kenya and not Hawaii. At the time he had no reason to lie about his birthplace, therefore his true birthplace is probably in Kenya.

So I suppose the raving nutjob had this booklet printed up in 1991 for Obama to discredit him about 3 months after this raving nutjob's death.

Nice dodge. Can't argue the facts so demonize the source. How very liberal of you.

It seems that "liberal" these days means-

- closed minded

- prejudiced

- hipocrite

Eh, more like controversy ;)

disclosure - I am not a Birther.

I think we're kinda in "shiny object" territory here. I would have been fine if Ms. Goderich merely had said "hey this is nothing; I just made a mistake". But then why would she say that "There was never any information given to us by Obama in any of his correspondence or other communications suggesting in any way that he was born in Kenya and not Hawaii". If this statement is true, then why did they specify "Kenya" as the birth place? Do they normally just make stuff up on the fly when their writing the bios for their brochures? Didn't they have telephones back in 1991? At the very least, this makes the lit agency look mendacious - not that we should be surprised by that.

Uhhhhhhhhh, could it be she made the assumption based the fact that Obama's parents were.........wait for it..........KENYAN, and just maybe the mistake was overlooked? It wouldn't be the first editing error in some bio book. Fox News darling, the no-spinmeister Bill O'Reilly, came out with a "history" book titled, "Killing Lincoln", which is riddled with historical errors. The author has never corrected ALL those mistakes either. The National Park Service even recommended that the Ford's Theater bookstores not even put it on the shelves. Mistakes happen.

If you're going to go the vetting route to clear a Presidential candidate for office, better take a look at Romney. Murky.

And his father was actually born in Mexico, and HE also ran for President, in the U.S.! How'd he get away with that? Oh, that's right, he was a Republican businessman. It's OK if they're foreign nationals.

Obama's father was Kenyan, but his mother was American. Under the circumstances, as I said, a simple phone call could have clarified.

edit -

on Mitt Romney's eligibility
y'know TC, sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. If you keep swinging your head at every perceived conspiracy, you're gonna get whiplash.

My mistake. The first wife was Kenyan, the second was American.

@ Ferno: Well, it would have been long before my time anyways. I didn't join until 2006, just thought I remembered a thread about a thread. My bad.

Just for clarity, nothing I have said is a conspiracy theory. They are facts. How you decide to perceive them is totally up to you, although I'm less than optimistic myself.

I don't trust any form of government that looks at you solely as labor =/

2006 in a thread about the World Trade/Pentagon attack and how it may have been a a conspiracy by the US Govt:

Ferno replies: "well if a plane did hit the pentagon, how come there weren't any cars blown about, or lightposts knocked inward.. or a massive gash leading up to the pentagon?

also, there's reports of people not hearing a plane until it was right above them? That's hogwash. I can hear a plane coming well before it is 'right on top of me'. and that's when it's at 1000 ft or more."

Ferno reply: Quote:
Actually it is very possibe that the video was faked. The video had very poor picture, his voice was different, and he was wearing things forbidden in islam. He is also left handed, but the video showed him right-handed.

Also, there's the possibility that since none of us speak arabic, it could have been a false transaltion.

wow. you actually went through the effort to dig that up. I don't know what's funnier, you believing obama is from kenya no matter what, or you spending time and effort to dig up a single thread and screwing up the quotes from six years ago.

I think it's time you changed baits, because what you're fishing for isn't in the waters. :)
