Well, I started picking around on a guitar about 10 years ago, but didn't really get serious until about 3-4 year ago. I bought a new entry level acoustic and told myself I couldn't have an electric until I hit certain milestones, one being able to make a full tone bend on the acoustic . I've got it narrowed down to 3 so far, it's cool as hell being able to listen to these on youtube now , but I'm wondering if anyone else here has any experience with these guitars or any suggestions otherwise. Must be left-handed though.
This one sounds good and looks built well. It is all mahogony, so no disimilar woods which makes more sense to me somehow . Should be able to give it to my grand-children.

This one has some pretty neat ★■◆● on it, Guitar Rig software and a USB jack to connect directly to your computer. Maybe not a serious instrument, but a great first electric. I'm leaning heavily towards this one.

This one is half as much as the others, but still sounds pretty damn good. It will probably be the first one I get for it's rawness but I don't want a house full of guitars. Just 2-3 real nice ones.

EDIT:The Hagstrom sounds more like a real Les Paul than the rest of them.
I can have an electric guitar :D
Re: I can have an electric guitar :D
1. Always go for the heavy bodies. The resonate more.
2. Always have a guitar by your computer so you can put it in your lap while you mess around on the Internet. While you read, mess around on it. My acoustic is too loud for this.
3. !!?!?!?

Re: I can have an electric guitar :D
It's a toss-up between the first 2. That hagstrom is solid mahoganey with a set neck. Great sustain but the second one, the epiphone is versatile as hell. I have no idea how to match a guitar to an amp but I want it to sound like this.

Re: I can have an electric guitar :D
i started on a cheap electric, they are so cheap and attainable. Fun.
only got my first acoustic many years later. If i started on that i might not have gone very far because when you're a kid and all you want to play is electric, anything other than electric isn't very fun.
don't delay, get a cheap electric.

Re: I can have an electric guitar :D
I'm not sure a cheap one will satisfy my thirst . My ears have become very discerning. I love it when that string squeals, and then the accidental harmonics that come while playing. I'm not sure one of those cheap squires is gonna cut it. I honestly think for my first electric will either be that epiphone or the hagstrom. The epiphone looks like it would be like you said, a lot of fun, especially with that amp modeling software, but that Hagstrom looks to be a very finely made guitar. I can't find alot concerning them though and I have to be able to play it before I purchase. I'm wondering if that Hagstrom is a serious contender for a Gibson Les Paul?
