Nissan made honest :)

Almost a sad story concerning my CVT. It's on the outs =/ Good news is, Nissan extended the warranties on them for 10 years/120000 miles. Bad news, they all LIE. You are supposed to be able to accurately control your speed accell/decell with the accellerator. It's one of the selling points over a conventional AT. Well, I had the service manager ride with me while he constantly tried to tell me mine was normal operation. WRONG, so I called the GM up and showed him this video:

Hehe, I expect to be getting my new CVT sometime tomorrow. If your CVT is not operating according to this video, GO GET YOU ONE >: )

I had an Eagle Talon with a CVT a number of years ago. Pretty cool, and it worked well... when it worked.

That transmission was the most prone to problems I've ever owned. I probably won't go with a CVT again, at least not anytime soon.

Yeah agreed. They have the new and improved 3rd gen now that I'm trying to fanagle. Supposedly better made and 10% fuel mileage increase over the 2nd Gen. I got the car for $3500.00 under blue book to account for something like this, but I didn't realize they had extended the warranties to the 2nd and 3rd owners for the CVT. I hope they comply and just give me the CVT. If not, I'm gonna Facebook every bit of it. They told me 3 service techs drove it and then I had the service manager ride with me to with no luck, but the receipt they gave me says "mileage in 65450 mileage out 65451" :P You can't even get the car warmed up and to speed in that amount of time =/, much less 3 different techs to drive in that amount of distance. I'll post that video, the extended warranty page, this receipt and then tell the story. Then go find an honest man somewhere and post the fact that I finally got my CVT. I'd like to avoid all that if I could =/
