I have a bunch of video's of my desktop while narrating.

I figure I might as well put them on youtube so I can get some "creed" and some traffic for my site.

The videos I've uploaded to Screencast are SWF's using Jing. Is there away to grab them from Screencast....don't think so.....so next question is what progie can I use to do video screen capture and have it so I can upload it to youtube. Free of course if possible.

I get a error message with handbrake when trying to convert from SWF: No title found. Your source may be copy protected, badly mastered or In a format which handbrake does not support.

If I can't get handbrake to work are there other video screen capture programs with audio that would work like Jing?

I suspect its not an actual flash movie that jing records.

use something like fraps and record what jing plays back, and then you can upload that to youtube.

I'm trying Camstudio and it does record screen and audio to avi. I've got a bunch of tutorials in Screencast in swf but I can always do them again, eyh.

So you want to grab videos from an online account and load them on your youtube account?

First i'd just get a list of urls and put them to a text file. Then I'd have a script that runs through each url and searches the HTML for swf files and downloads them to a temp file. For each swf it downloads it would convert them to mp4 using avconv. Then for each conversion it would use pyytup to upload. I'd test the script using on URL and watch it crash. Work out the bugs, then have it use the big list with all the URLs. I'd leave it running over night, depending on how long it takes to download each HD swf.

I say Isaac, that sounds great but your so far past my expertise you could have been speaking Greek. Two things, I don't speak Greek and I do appreciate your post.

And if I had a friend who could decipher it I would surely try it.
