Gaming on 47" TV = AWESOME

So I had to remove my tv from the living room because my daughter was having a dance. I plugged it into my PC and played Diablo 3, Race On, Half Life 2 and OMFG it's wild. 1920x1080 resolution rocks on this thing. Playing Diablo 3 was a blast. Racing is just mind blowing. Sadly it will go back to my living room tomorrow, or so.

So just move your PC to the living room.

Actually, I've been considering something like that for a while. My media box (living room) and gaming rig (room upstairs) are both due for an upgrade, so I'm considering just combining them into a single machine, and moving all my gaming stuff to a spot in the living room.

...Drawback is that I won't be able to play while Michelle is watching TV or a Blu-ray. Of course, I don't get that much playing time anyway being a Dad, so...

At 18-24" away my 24" PC screen gives pretty much the same effect, and the 1920x1200 resolution helps.

im on a 42" LED Razor TV and BF3 is just outright "REAL" sitting out about 2 2-1/2 feet away

I would move my pc but I can't run the rj45 too it. My cable modem is in the back room. I will enjoy it and if I ever feel like doing it again I know I can. My next monitor will be like a 32 or so lcd

If only TVs had a dual link DVI-D or DisplayPort input and could show 120 Hz, then you could really rock with a big screen. HDMI has a 60 Hz hard limit.

I game on a projector with a 120 screen at 1920 x 1080p. With a Logitech Z-5500 Digital Speaker System. I also have my blu-ray, cable box, computer and Xbox all hooked up to the system. It's awesome.
