I create "Dougtorials" that I upload to YouTube. I can say them in an AVI file or MP4. I believe the AVI format can be used with more "players".
What say you?

MP4 is far more flexible (AVI has to be hacked together with modern video codecs, and outright won't work with a number of them).

MP4 definintely
mainly coz MP4 (like MKV) can hold the H264 format which is the standard thesedays in all HD stuff.
