Texas couple snaps photo of deer destroying Obama front yard sign

A Texas couple determined to find out who had been damaging a sign in their front yard proclaiming their support for President Obama's re-election bid caught the offender on Wednesday. Tom Priem, a software support engineer in Austin, told FoxNews.com he and his wife, who live on a block where political signs dot front yards, were fed up with seeing only their Obama sign repeatedly defaced.

“The sign had holes poked in it like somebody had stuck a knife through it,” Priem said Friday. “At first I thought it was somebody who didn’t like Obama.”
Yeah. He probably didn't. He had some brains. ;)
Priem’s wife, Beth, captured the deer on camera early Wednesday, just seconds after the Obama sign fell from its antlers. The commotion sent the family’s Yorkshire terrier, Charlie, into a frenzy.

Well, if it was legal to shoot at the herd that stomps through my yard all the time, I wouldn't care if they were liberal or conservative, they'd be dead meat. :P

The thing about liberals and conservatives... it's two entirely different notions of morality. And if you're trying to define one as right and one as wrong; or one as smart and one as stupid, then you're way out of line.
Unfortunately, anyone who gets in a political debate will do that... In a perfect DBB, we'd save the political debating for the politicians who are getting paid to do it, and just cast our ballots quietly.

In a perfect DBB everyone would be in close enough proximity to the basics of life, agriculture, and society in RL that you would all be conservative. ;)

The truth is we need people to act as full-time representatives in the political/government arena, but every one of us needs to be actively involved in the affairs of government, as touching our lives. It's just that politics have been made into such a soap opera...

In a perfect DBB we'd all be playing D and come back to the DBB only to laugh about the fun we had.

There's a difference between being actively engaged in government, and engaging in pointless debates where it isn't possible to make the other side see your point of view; that point of view is as alien to them as their point of view is to you. I think it's great to pay attention to your government and politics and general, and do something -- at the very least it gives you the right to complain when the government does something you don't like -- but that something you do should be productive.
These debates go nowhere and they're a waste of time for anyone except the government -- the best we can do is agree to disagree, and we don't do that nearly enough. If you want something to happen, you have to get out there and make it happen! If there's one thing video games, and the stories of video games, can teach you, it's that.

I'm an advocate for people with disabilities, I'm an environmentalist... I can't stand to watch people debate these issues and try to get approval from people they don't even know, when the course of action should be... action. If you want your conservatives to win your election, go and help them win it! I may be hoping your liberals will win, but I can't stop you, so you don't need my permission.

Great Picture... Thanks.

I hope that is what America does with our Vote on November 2012.

There are some times when I really wish the DBB had "like" buttons for posts (perish the thought!) - Ferno's image was one of them.
