First asteroids, then planets, then an alien virus takes over our robots and kills us all until the Material Defender can save us.

You're late. But this is a good opportunity to bump since they announced job openings the other day.

What we really want is for Israel Spacecraft Industries to pop into existence. :D I guess that's one more reason to defend Israel from destruction. No Israel, no Pyro-GX!

I've been playing too much D1 lately. Its gotten to a point where I have to stop myself from trying to trichord in real life. Its terrible.

If the Pyro GX was real tho... man how awesome would that be. Trichording all over the friggin place.

Which in real life, wouldn't do anything because of the laws of physics.

Fox, thrust-vector-addition works just fine in physics.

...Or are you making some other assumption about the thrusts (e.g. assuming they're not independent)?

Pretty much. The pyro only has two thrusters -- even if it had others they'd have to be pretty small and wouldn't put out the same amount of power -- you can't see them on the model (though maybe 1995 is another reason for that...).
I'd always thought the Pyro had some sort of Antigravity drive that it used for normal movement and that the thrusters were mostly afterburners.

I imagined a Pyro being similar to how the Vipers were imagined in the recent Battlestar Galactica series. Barely perceptible maneuvering thrusters all around, but a couple big ones in the back for getting through deep space.
