Looks like both interplay.com and interplay-store.com have gone down. Has Interplay finally kicked the bucket for good?

Who cares.
Maybe if they go bankrupt and sell off their assetys someone will buy the rights to the descent series whose actually gonna do something with it.

Most likely. They did'nt have long to keep up the rent, at the rate they were going down it looks about right that they would kaput right about now.
The sooner they sell the rights to Descent and other games the better. Interplays golden days came and went a long time ago.

Would somebody please just put a bullet in Interplay's head and put it out of our misery?

The sooner Interplay goes, the sooner we can stop hearing false promises.

You know what's really a travesty, the way you guys talk about Interplay. I mean sure corporations = teh 3vil, particularly Interplay with the case of marketing D3, but it's only a game, not life...man some of you need to find something else to do with your time...

You overlook one crucial point: with Interplay's online store down, there's no easy way to buy D3 or Freespace 1/2. While I don't particularly like Interplay, I did like their online store.

Actually Descent 3 is available all over the place:

I need to learn how to dress my links!

FYI after the site renovation Interplay did not run the Interplay Store. Otherwise they wouldn't have been selling EA games.

At any rate...I still liked the store
