Replacing missing limbs with something... rather different.

to replace her below-knee missing legs, designed by the famous WETA workshop.

Aimee Mullins' digitigrade cat legs
she had in the art-house film Cremaster 3. (below knee amputations).
It's hard to find suitable pics to embed since the character is always naked. Anyway, she does walk around in the film a bit, the legs are functional.

We've all by now seen the Flex-Foot Cheetah type legs used by runners, the ones that use a large single carbon fibre spring to replace the calf and foot.
