FPS limitations with Radeon 7500?

I can't get my framerate over 100 no matter what resolution or detail level I use for D3. In fact, I get the same FPS for 640x480 and 1600x1200... 100 FPS Image Here is my system info:

AMD Athlon@1.4ghz
512mb pc2100
40gb hard disk 7200 rpm
Radeon 7500 All-in-Wonder 64mb DDR with Catalyst 3.16 drivers
21" Cornerstone p1700 CRT monitor
Windows XP Pro

my refresh rate on my monitor is also set to 100 hertz for all resolutions up to 1600x1200. Does the Radeon card limit everything to 100 fps or something? Why does this card do it when my GeForce 2 MX 100/200 64mb non-ddr card didn't and I got 150-250 fps in D3 at 640x480 full detail? I know I have the XP Pro refresh rate fix already. Why is it limiting my FPS to 100? How do I fix it?

BTW I got Vertical Sync off.

Thanx.

No. No. You don't have vertical sync off.

Disable it correctly and all will be well.

You will need to do that in two locations: The driver 3D controls, *AND* in D3.

Despite that P1700 Shadow Mask CRT being able to make 100Hz at 1600 Mode, it's poor tuning to have the same refresh rate for every resolution. You should be pushing 180-200Hz at the lower resolutions.

Take the time, and read, then follow the instructions at http://planetdescent.com/d3help/framerate.shtml

for some reason the Radeon card's adapter rates won't go any higher than 100 hertz for ANY resolution. That's the only reason I have everything set at 100.

My old Radeon 32med sdr would push over 500 fps with no sound and 150-200fps with software sound on but only in D3D. It sucked in Open GL. So I would think you would see higher with that card.

My wife Laptop with a P4 1.7ghz celeron and a Radeon 7500 go card will push 125fps with directsound in XP.
