I agree TC. It was called Watergate because that was the name of it. This whole "Benghazi-gate" "Fiscal Cliff-gate" "Clinton jizzes on her dress-gate" is ★■◆●ing stupid.

Well, that’s how language evolves, probably best to get used to it. I consider much of the way internet culture has murdered the language to be stupid, but that’s life, I guess.

Just saw another annoying one in the news recently, -pocalypse, like in snowpocalypse. Some more creative annoying suffixes.

Haven't heard the -gasm suffix used very much in the press though.

Yeah, I would file those suffixes under the dumb category instead. But words like "homophobic," "denialism," etc., they're just made up with a specific target in mind, like heterosexual traditionalists (purists), skeptics and dissenters, and so on.

These things aren't weird, and they aren't all that difficult to understand. So hearing you two mock me for something that isn't that hard to see how it will work without looking anything up, that's just ridiculous to me. I couldn't care less about your personal bias.

perhaps, you might wish to look at your own presentation. Why should the reader have to work to find out what you mean, if you can't express what you mean coherently? I've read this entire thread, three times now. I still have utterly ZERO clue as to what you are trying to prove. You make inferences, with no actual examples to back up your premise. Then you go on a multi-post rant at those who mock your murky presentation.
