Did anyone notice people keep inventing new '-phobias' and '-isms' just to protect objectionable groups and ideologies?

Stereotyping people has been going on for awhile now. It makes it less personal.

And the "gate" appendix is getting old too.

I agree TC. It was called Watergate because that was the name of it. This whole "Benghazi-gate" "Fiscal Cliff-gate" "Clinton jizzes on her dress-gate" is ★■◆●ing stupid.

Well, that’s how language evolves, probably best to get used to it. I consider much of the way internet culture has murdered the language to be stupid, but that’s life, I guess.

Language doesn't "evolve," it just changes. Humans need to stop perpetuating this naturalist propaganda and choose our words more carefully.

Just saw another annoying one in the news recently, -pocalypse, like in snowpocalypse. Some more creative annoying suffixes.

Haven't heard the -gasm suffix used very much in the press though.

Cuda, you're reading everything so literally. >_>

Yeah, I would file those suffixes under the dumb category instead. But words like "homophobic," "denialism," etc., they're just made up with a specific target in mind, like heterosexual traditionalists (purists), skeptics and dissenters, and so on.

I should frame this and put it on my wall. It's funny how Top Gun thinks he's insulting me. The reality is that he's too naive, blind, and emotionally weak to do enough research into corruption. You have a responsibility as a citizen to be vigilant. This involves doing things like reading legislation, something politicians don't even do in many cases.

Somebody is laughing all the way to the bank.

The only funny thing here is how you're pretty much a complete nut. Like, I've been hanging around here off and on for about a decade, and looking back, I can't think of anything you've ever posted in this folder that's coherent. As much as I rail against TB's drive-bys, at least he has a consistent personal viewpoint that he's expressing. You, on the other hand...hell, you just throw out conspiracy bull★■◆● to troll people. I'm not sure why you'd expect any of us to take you seriously.

hey. neo.

evolve means the exact same thing as change.

and it looks like you answered your own question in your opening post.

Ferno, you have no idea why I worded it like that. It isn't because I thought they had different meanings.

I don't really care what you think about me, top gun. I thought you were one of the more reasonable, level headed people here. But you've shown me how ignorant you are.

Maybe you guys should find out what I mean before you assume you already know.

These things aren't weird, and they aren't all that difficult to understand. So hearing you two mock me for something that isn't that hard to see how it will work without looking anything up, that's just ridiculous to me. I couldn't care less about your personal bias.

But you've shown me how ignorant you are.

perhaps, you might wish to look at your own presentation. Why should the reader have to work to find out what you mean, if you can't express what you mean coherently? I've read this entire thread, three times now. I still have utterly ZERO clue as to what you are trying to prove. You make inferences, with no actual examples to back up your premise. Then you go on a multi-post rant at those who mock your murky presentation. Sure, they could be kinder, but then again, I've not been here reading your posts for a decade, in which case this sort of gibberish might have gotten old with me. Now, would you care to restate your point, this time a little more clearly?

Exactly. So re-write your post in a way that can be understood by.. you know, people, Neo. Quit trying (and failing horribly) at trying to make us look stupid and pretending to be a pseudo-intellectual. Because it's really not working.
