Hey guys, i'm a newb here. I've made it to level 6 on the Shareware ( On trainee ), and i decided to buy it! I like Descent 1, and Descent 2 ( The only downside of it is the Intro, it's too damn long. ).
Wish me luck!
ALSO QUESTION: How do you make a 45 degree wedge in DLE-XP?

You'll have to excuse us here, we are full of people with nothing better to do than sit on a computer:
1) Posting odd bits of information
2) Criticising peoples English
3) Getting annoyed when someone spots a mistake in their own writing.
4) Doing any of these
5) Making random art

Use a number 7 for the most leverage, since it's it's basically a 45 degree angle by design.

Hey there and welcome.
DLE-XP has it's own sub-forum if you so choose.

You might get a more thorough answer on the D2x-L Site.

If you hunt around on XL's forum here, you can probably find a "switch" in the game or in the .ini file that turns of cutscenes and thus getting rid of the intro. I don't use XL so I'm not that familiar with the fine tuning.

G/L building!

Creating angles and what not is all about stretching edges of the cubes, since D1 and D2 levels are built entirely out of them. Although we call them "cubes" for convenience sake since they always have 6 sides, most don't really fit the literal description. One of the best ways to figure out how a level is built and how some shapes are pulled off is to use the editor to open a level that contains the shapes you are interested in so you can see how the cubes were placed and stretched.

And it's saying, "Hello. I'm about to DEVOUR you".

Hello. I'm about to DEVOUR you.
Or at least the weapons your exploding pyro leaves behind.
