Okay, so I've got D2X-XL installed on my Win7 machine. I've got all of the game data in the right place. But when I try to run the program, it instantly crashes. First it tells me that it can't find d2x.hog and d2x.mn2, and then it says "can't open pig and/or ham file." I don't understand this. These files are all in the Data directory - why isn't it working? This seems like such a basic problem that there ought to be a fix somewhere, but I haven't found anything yet.

What are your systems specs and where are the files installed?

I could be wrong - just can't remember, but try a non protected/ admin locations on your Win7 drive.
Examples: C:/GAMES/D2X-XL or D:/GAMES/D2X-XL

Yep, that's where my files are installed. I noticed that the folder was set to "read-only," which I unchecked, but that didn't seem to make a difference.
