All those fantastic landscapes? They were shot in my country! That's where I go tramping over holidays... As normal, it's better in real life too.

The movie was shot at 48 frames per second. WOW! It must look super realistic! Some people have even claimed it gave them motion sickness. You'll have to let us know.

I don't know. People can be affected in different ways by flashing light. Some of my video games have caused me a little cybersickness occasionally. But I had one game I played a long time ago, I think it was a Star Wars: Dark Forces, that really made me cybersick every time I played it. So much so I had to quit playing or hurl. It was being viewed on an old CRT however and it may have been caused by an interlacing strobing effect, but who knows.

Every time I see
an HD tv playing
at a super smooth
frame rate my pants fill with a
very sticky goo

A rookie mistake Isaac. Drinking Nog in the presence of all these impressive sights apt to send one's mouth agape with awe.
You'll Nog all over everything

Anyway, I ended up missing the first showing. I forgot about it any my phone was dead. A friend, who I was suppose to pick-up, was calling my ass non-stop. The next morning I turned on my phone only to get a flood of texts and voice mail notifications. I'm the worst friend ever.

The higher the framerate is, the less likely it is to cause motion sickness for me... sorry if my post was a little too terse to be clear!

He's saying, he doesn't like the Mexican soap opera look, which is a high frame rate. Don't ask me why I know this. STOP JUDGING ME! Look away. Don't look at me!

Descent has never given me any problems while playing it. Star Wars Dark Forces always did. Weird.

I never had any problems with Dark Forces. I bought it ages ago, but a couple years back I got it in a huge Star Wars bundle on steam so I wouldn't have to deal with the CD anymore.

The real advancement in Dark Forces was that you could look up and down, which was something that hadn't been done before (this was before Descent).
