Windows Delayed Write Failed!

I bought one of these
http://www.compusa.com/products/product ... 6&pfp=cat3 and started digitizing some family videotapes last night. About halfway through one I got the "Windows Delayed Write Failed" message and my data drive unmounted. I remounted it, did a scandisk on it, and rebooted ...
Now I can't even open the volume. I get a dialog box saying "H:\ is not accessible ... The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable." I can't even run scan disk on it now.
Am I hosed?

Thats nice ... a way to prevent this from happening ... thx.
However, I need to RECOVER the files on that disk ... Any idea how to do so?

Did you follow the advice on checking to see if the right 80 conductor cable is being used? BIOS settings correct?

Cable is fine ... No I did not check the BIOS. This is a removable WD-12000JB disk drive and I took it out from my home PC and took it to work and tried on 2 other PCs ... How would changing BIOS now help me recover my files?
I have been using this disk for months without a problem.

Ok, I downloaded
Recover My Files and installed it. It couldn't read the disk so I did a Quick Format on the HDD and then ran RMF again. It is scanning the disk now and seems to be finding all of my lost files. It will prolly take all night to run so I am going to let it run and go back home. I will check it again tomorrow night and see if I can get those files back.
