Once upon a time France was well respected for their science and building capabilities. Ever since the marginot line though, that has gone downhill. Another nail in Le Beaks coffin:

Its an airport: how could any one miss the ground shifting if thats the cause of the terminal collapse. If the ground is shifting under the terminal, one would need to question the fitness of the runways.

You have to question the structural and civil engineers, along with the architects. Ground conditions are all part of designing the building.

Assuming that the engineers were doing their jobs, one might ponder that the terminal was dilberatly made to collapse.

Nahh, it's a good theory. Perhaps not quite intentionally to collapse and kill people, but certainly to break. This country does it all the time. Build it so it breaks, then get revenue fixing it again. Just look at the roads in this country. We have materials that can last through a few hundred winters without cracking, has better traction when wet than when dry, and doesn't absorb oils. It's smoother, it wears better, and it wears tires less. I'll give you one guess as to why it hasn't been put into use.

Then look at appliances.

Then look at cars. You see Fight Club? That little convo on recalls is truer than you think, and also includes the airline and trucking industry.

i hate roads in chicago. they are rebuilding them every year and won't stop because how would the mob make money??

To clarify: I meant to suggest that someone went out of their way to collapse it, like a terrorist act, or to engage in an insurance scam, not that was it designed in Detroit..
