With the 50th anniversary of the 911 rapidly approaching, and the price of early 911s (long bonnet: prior to 1973) going through the roof, and the prices of S models going nuts, I thought I should buy one, and bring it back to life for the anniversary.
My care was new in Spain, spent some time in the USA in the 80s, getting a respray, a crash, awful repairs, and 77 bucket loads of rust, It ended up in Carson City, and was then imported into New Zealand in late 1991, where it was refused a license due to rust. The car was stripped, sand blasted, and undercoated. And that's how it's stayed since then.
The car will eventually look like this:
This is what it looks like now.
I am still driving the old 928S, and I am looking for a 3.0-litre 944 Race Car right now, and shortly I am tearing off to the UK to pick up a 2005 997 Carerra S. Can you say "bitten by the Porsche bug"?
Life is good.

Very nice! I wouldn't mind being a Porsche monkey, myself. Old american cars are about all I can a Ford at the moment.
