Thinking it may be a good time to try and start organizing 1V1 tournaments once more, anyone who agrees let me know what you think.

i'm also looking into the idea of a betting system for our tourneys, i will not be participating in this upcoming one most likely, but i felt it good to toss some ideas out, anyone like that?

I'd bite (playing, not betting) if it were D1, not really sure whether that's the plan though?

Hi, (my first post)
I'm very happy to see there is still Descent players!
...I never had the occasion to play this game in multilayer (I was 1 yo when the game released...) so I'd be very very pleased to participate!
Even if I'm French and if I'd have to spend the night

Fixed it for you. I'll try and make it on mumble sometime this week.

This is gonna be a d3 tourney, until we have more activity since mumble has quite a few regulars almost eeveryday on d1 and d2, after we have a few weeks of activity increase then we may branch out to d1 and d2, of course theres also the option of the players choosing which game they want to play on, but it may get a bit confusing.

If it helps to facilitate more gameplay, I will throw my hat in for all 3, although I kinda suck at 1 and 2 and don't remember any of the maps except Minerva. >_<

And me all the same what Descent to play. Better certainly in D3. I not so know the D1-2 cards, but the company I will try to support, if that. If purposefully to gather, it is better in day off in the evening, in my opinion. So when we play?

I'd prefer to play D2 (or D1) because I played a longer time D1/2 than D3, but it'd be Ok for D3 too.
For the date and time to play, considering I'm GMT+1, it'd be great if the tourney can start at noon in the USA... but I can play the night if needed.
A Saturday is the best day for me (avoiding the 03-16, because I've a programming contest)

Yes, by the way, on Saturday at noon on time of the USA it would be ideal. Because if will gather on Sunday evening on time of the USA, in Moscow at this time already there will be a Monday and I absolutely precisely will be at work.

Yeah, I think I'll skip on the D3-only phase of it, don't have much interest in the game. But I'll see how things go...

I might do a D1/2 tournament. I haven't played enough D3 recently to be effective.

It seems that everybody's OK for a Saturday at noon time (USA) and to play D2/1 tournament
If you want, I can make a quick website to host the inscriptions and the planning
However there is one more question : Use d2x-rebirth or d2x-xl?
...I'd prefer d2x-rebirth because it is less greedy in performance and is more like the original game
Then, if someone want to play a game with me before this tournament, I'd very pleased because I never played multi-player game through the web, and I don't know how it works...

You can adjust D2X-XL to be more frugal (turning off lightmaps is usually the single best way of doing this). What you might not be able to fix on the spot is crashes or other glitches if it happens to have them, so it'd probably be best to run a test game (multiplayer) first if you want to play it.
