Have the God Particle. It is now official, the Higgs Boson is believed to be "discovered" and now we can go forth to rule the universe.

Wow. I didn't think any significant confirmation would come so quickly. There won't be any huge practical developments from it, but it's huge for the theoretical-model folk.

I always find it amazing how practical developments DO eventually spring from what at first appear to be theoretically focused discoveries. Time will tell on this one.

The "God Particle" name is misleading (most scientists dislike it), because it has nothing whatsoever to do with God, or faith, or anything spiritual whatsoever.

I want portals. Can we get busy inventing portals so we don't have to worry about the speed of light and taking forever to get anywhere?
