well, I sort of suspected this sort of thing, and that was the reason I emphasized background checks to include the members of the owner's household. I also feel that this information doesn't change the whole dynamic of the gun violence issue a bit.

No, it doesn't have much at all to do with our 'gun violence' problem. Maybe even as little to do with it as assault rifles do....

And by the way slick, your reaction, in spite of your suspicions to the real problem, were to call for severe loss of freedoms to all of us not just gun safes and better background checks!
So if you suspected he was an obvious threat that could have been stopped by the responsible adults in his life why go on a major rant about assault weapons and how 'we only need shotguns' and 'no one needs to have permission to carry a pistol for self defense', etc. etc.
