Hey guys...if anyone is still left alive in here....
I'm playing Descent (1&2) (DXXRebirth technically)

Tobycat introduced me to it and where it's being played. Descent Rangers MUMBLE server.

Not a lot of pilots left, not surprisingly...but we have had a couple of 8 player games and I've had some good 1 on 1s. Got my arse handed to me a couple of times.

Rangers, huh? They're still around? Somehow that figures.

How do you even play Descent online in 2013? Do I have to find my old Kali keys somewhere? I think I printed them out . . . somewhere . . . half a lifetime ago.

We don't use kali anymore
. We meet on mumble and play using Descent rebirth 1 and 2

Ahhhh . . . sweet! I haven't played D1 in so long.

Descent is practically my passion. I prefer D2 and D2X-XL, but I still do quite well at D1 and D3.

Must find a joystick that works!

I switched to mouse because I couldn't find a good joystick. Never thought I'd be a mouser.... Was a bit of an adjustment.
I'll see you at the LAN later this month!

I'm gonna have to find a new stick sometime soon. My current 3D Pro is getting close to dying.

I've been feeding my addiction to D1 on-and-off for the last few years, and I'd love in on some multi-player action. So if anyone wants some new cannon fodder, count me in!

I totally haven't a clue how to find games, though. I can make it work between my local PCs but that's about it.

Feeling nostalgic, I just got DXX-Rebirth going and was playing a little.

I even looked up Case's Ladder and saw you are still on there. And so was I!

I used to go by the name of Dove (ugh!).

Anyway, I hope to see you around. I'm interested in playing some of the old levels (besides minerva).

Thanks! For multiplayer levels I have to give a shoutout to DKH though - he's kind of like the Spaz of the 10s. I think all his levels are on DMDB - they're very popular on the DCL.

If you haven't already started playing, be warned - after so many years it'll probably be a steep climb back to the top, bring your mountaineering gear and lots of patience
