Welfare terrorists...

"Marathon bombings mastermind Tamerlan Tsarnaev was living on taxpayer-funded state welfare benefits even as he was delving deep into the world of radical anti-American Islamism, the Herald has learned," reports the Boston Herald.
Nice way to repay the American people that helped him isn't it?

as was suggested elsewhere, it is possible to deplore these senseless acts as hateful and leave it at that. On the other hand, it might be nice for America to divine why, exactly, people are able to grow up within our culture, yet turn on it. I worry far less about foreigners coming here or attacking outside the nation, as I do about folks who can grow up within our system and develop such hatred. Just my take......

People find many ways to self destruct for a thousand different reasons. Could be as the subconscious end goal or as the side effect of a rationalized sociopathic aggression.

Drink yourself quietly to death inspite of all the help your family and friends and society offer you without ever knowing why you do it and never kill anyone but yourself....

Lend yourself to some radical imam's version of murderous jihad and rationalizing the carnage you sow as somehow justified so everyone will feel your anger or to realize some sense of power, etc

And a thousand degrees of reasons between the two.

Understanding for the sake of advancing psychological sciences is always good.

Understanding to recognize the warning signs and be able to intervene is better.

Understanding why the older brother wasn't denied citizenship based on all the warnings given would be absolutely awesome yet they will be deflected and belittled for partisan political reasons.

Understanding that if they were christian right wingers the mainstream media wouldn't have dismissed the affiliations and connections that they are trying to do now that Islam is in the mix. Understanding that is important as well if you are going to have an honest and productive discussion about this event...

Well, we've already have executed one, and are going to spend state funds to execute the other. Cradle to grave government assistance................ At least we know where our money went. Unlike the black hole where our bank bailout money went, or where all that military spending goes. :P

Jesus dude, do you ever give this ★■◆● a rest? For once just let this ★■◆● go. TB actually brought up a decent point and you have to bring it back down to right wing / left wing media. Goddamn you make this stuff so boring.

It seems the mother of the terrorists shared their sentiment and 'faith'

She is virtually screaming at the reporter.

Jesus dude, do you ever give this **** a rest? For once just let this **** go. TB actually brought up a decent point and you have to bring it back down to right wing / left wing media. ******* you make this stuff so boring.
No actually gob, he has a point. The President and his "crew" have gone to GREAT and subtle lengths to avoid that aspect. Something isn't right with Obama when he intentionally avoids calling a problem what it is.

So you are bored with it therefore we shall ignore the reality? The hypocrisy? The outright fraud that our mainstream media engages in to insulate terrorists from the scrutiny of the media's investigations?

The cold hard truth is they are looking furiously for a TeaParty/conservative type affiliation every time something like this happens and if there is ANY connection, no matter how tenuous, they are sure to publish it with great zeal!

But now that they find out these killers were Muslim extremist wannabes the official word from the liberal talking head media is "Does it really matter why they did it"?

I think if you want to discuss the 'welfare' aspect of these killers you can include the protection they get from keepers of the welfare state's secrets....

If you are bored with reality go listen to Bill Mahr or Chris Mathews so your ill conceived perspective won't be challenged with the inclusion of the truth!

As with anything in our news culture, there is immediate speculation. Some thought domestic terror, some thought overseas terror. Seems like it was a mixture of both. And Duper, it's been one damn week, the President hasn't gone to any "great length" to avoid that aspect. You people bemoan the way our media works these days, but you all do the same exact thing. None of you know why they did it, but you certainly seem to think you do.

Well we certainly do know more about them that points directly to an islamo-fascist motive than anyone ever had that points to rightwingers 'doing it on tax day'!! I think you have to be wilfully ignorant to deny there is any indication of motive right now, but you go with that if it serves you.

And no one in the media ever dismissed the motives or affiliations as being unimportant to the discussion if it was someone they could paint as a rightwinger .
Quite the opposite, they explore every possible detail of the suspects potential right wing affiliations and then follow with archived footage of every kind of violent domestic angry-white-guy, militias, right-wing talk radio cited as a catalyst, etc. whenever the opportunity presents itself. They seem to allow themselves an exemption for speculative restraint in that regard.
